White Skinnies

Once I got over the fact I am considered a size 40 in Zara Thailand, I snapped up these white cropped  zipper skinnies

Cropped skinnies – Zara. Pink top – Mango (old) Grey polka dot flats – Trenery (old)

I promise I haven’t used a photo app to create the bright light. I like to think it is the fashion Gods shining on me 🙂

I just got back from a beach holiday – can you tell from my tan? Everything looks better with a tan, especially white. Oh, and remember to wear Spanx, this would be frightful with VPL!

Denim & Lace

I love mixing textures, like unexpected flavours. Today we have lace and denim. Hooray.

It’s a little less obvious, don’t you think? And yes, I haven’t managed to put my new Kate Spade bag down!

Lace print mini – G2000  (similar) Denim shirt – Gap. Bag – Kate Spade. Bangle – Marc Jacobs

Blue suede loafers – similar

Nearly-Friday-Flares

I have had these Mankind Flares for nearly 7 years. Even though my body shape has changed and these trusty strides are more faded and tattered, I love them even more. Like a good friend that never lets you down.

And here I am, working on my smile 🙂

Black Vest – H&M. Jacket – Zara. Jeans – 7ForAllMankind. Polka dot flats – Trenery. If you are tall, you can pull off this slightly looser high-waist fit, but if you are a shorty-pants, I recommend a tighter waist and thigh area to make sure you don’t look like you are walking in a denim sack.

Casual Thursday

I decided to do a double-casual post because being comfortable and looking chic is not easy! When wearing jeans to work, I strongly believe in adding heels or posh flats, a cute bag, funky ring/earrings. Otherwise one can look like a slob.

I also believe in spending a bit more time on your hair and make-up to ‘make up’ for being so casual. Jeans – Zara 1969 Flare (old). Grey top – Gap (old). Polka dot flats – Trenery. Bag – Charles & Keith.

My second casual look for the week. And this really is me walking – my husband uses a fast shutter-speed to capture each movement in the hopes one of 20 shots will be use-able! But I love the ‘moving’ shots as it feels less posed.

Adorable polka dot top – Jaspal. Jeans – GStarRaw. Heels – Nine West Caress

Casual Friday

Two looks for a casual Friday at the office (am leaving early for a long weekend on the beach!)

I really love simple black flats with a sweater or long shirt and skinny jeans. Add bright tote and obligatory Starbucks.

Layers with my trusty denim shirt

Can you see my pony tail? Very unlike me, but my hair is getting too long and all my layers have grown out, so it annoys me. Black shirt – gap.

Skinny Jeans – Gstar Raw. Bag – TopShop. Denim Shirt – Gap. White undershirt – Zara. Black mini – Mango. Black Boots – Mango Touch. Black flats – M&S. Ring – boutique in Cape Town.

Skinny Jeans & Boots

I had a really good day today because I got featured on ‘Style Blog of the week ‘on bestoftheweb Trez coolio wouldn’t you say?

Relaxed look today, didn’t feel like dressing up too much but have been inspired by all the winter fashion in the blogs I follow and feeling jealous it never gets cold here (except for in my office! air-con set to 18 degrees!)

For the first time I have paired my suede boots (Mango Touch) with skinny jeans (GStar). And you know what? I love it! It opens up a entire new sphere of jean-options. Am thinking of getting some tan ones…but I don’t want to look like Katie Holmes who appears to have turned into a homeless person (derelict chic?) lately and is constantly in her stained tan suede boots! Grey blazer – Zara. Grey V neck – similar at Mango. Polka dot shirt – Gap

My Feature 🙂

Green Christmas

Merry Christmas from sunny Cape Town all!!! Green was my theme this year.

My gorgeous friend – White skinny cropped jeans – M&S. Green T – H&M. Tan ballet pumps – local Thai designer. Hoops – Accessorize. Watch – Emporio Armani.

Me – Jeans – GStar skinny. Top – Trenery. Flats – Aldo
