La Tweez

Eye-brows. One of THE most important facial features. The wrong shape and you might as well wear a bag on your head. I am obsessed and often look at women and think ‘your arch is too high‘ or ‘gosh, that is over-plucked!’ or ‘it’s clearly been a few weeks since your last wax!’ Nothing is worse than eye-brow stubble. Either leave them natural, or keep up the daily maintenance. Enter: La Tweez

I bought this little gem from the in-flight magazine two months ago. I.AM.IN.LOVE. No more frantically looking for a  beam-of-bathroom-window-sunlight. No more getting up-close-and-personal with a glaring light bulb. No more reading glasses balanced on end of nose!

I love the design. So girly and slick. It has a diamante LED button and slips into a chic chrome and black travel case.

I am a fan of a smooth brow with a dash of plucking from the under-side only.  I had some fun with my Maybelline Master Precise eye-liner for this pic which I think looks really chic. But I always do minimal make-up to ensure I don’t look like an air-hostess.

I really love how compact and cute it looks in my vanity or hand-bag.  And the case has a little mirror for emergencies.

Although I bought this from an in-flight duty free magazine, you can order from their website or on Amazon for around $12. They also come in bright pink and white.

Double Denim

Told you I would be experimenting the death out of this top! Here it is, dressed down with shorts and loafers.

Ordinarily I would NEVER ‘double-denim’, reminds of the disaster that was Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake so many years ago when they did the matching denim patch-work outfits. But this works. Don’t you think?

My hair is styled because I spent an entire afternoon looking to replace my beloved GHD which broke after 8 years and are not stocked in Thailand (small tear) I will blog the replacement soon xxx

My husband and photographer is away on business and although we managed to squeeze two photo-shoots into one day before he left, I still needed content for today.

I woke this morning and realised how important it is to surround yourself with the things you love. Make sure you can see and touch everything easily, because it makes you happy & gives you ideas. Here is a collection of things that inspire me, from perspex jewelry boxes to open clothes rails, I make sure I can see delightful things from any angle.

Clothing rails Ikea, white vanity Amazon, Earring trees,  perspex jewelry drawers Amazon, wooden hangers, camera Canon, Diamante photo frame Amazon (best friend not included), studded white pumps TopShop, wardrobe guard dog – Finbar

Chatter Box

Sorry it has been a few days since my last post, have been quite busy and suddenly it’s weekend and I’m shopping and brunching and sleeping and learning Thai…….OK, no more excuses. This adorable top always makes me think of being on holiday because that is the only time I wear it. I save it for beach destinations. It is really light cotton and therefore perfect for Thai island 40 degree heat. The slip-ons are so pretty, but it has taken me a while to wear them in. I always get blisters with these type of shoes and end up in my trusted flip-flops (stylish ones) most the time.

We also tried a different camera exposure with these shots. I quite like the white-light effect. What do you think?

City Stripes

I simply love anything with stripes. Especially in classic colors such as black and white or grey and white. Sailor chic I say!
I had some fun milling around a Bangkok street this morning (actually I live on this street) and even posed in a phone booth. Which I now realize is fairly unhygienic.
