Stripes and Colour

I love how the naughty luminous tangerine is peeking out from underneath this little jacket, like it has an attitude of its own.

Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary. – Cecil Beaton

I am in Singapore at the moment, and guess what? So is Kate Middleton!!! How fabulous is that? Anyway, back to my blog (Kate Kate Kate…who wore a Singaporean designer dress) This gorgeous jacket from Jaspal (only available in Thailand and Malaysia) is so lovely and chic (like Kate), with a dress, pencil skirt or even jeans. And I adore their packaging and cute free IPhone case gift to celebrate four decades. Don’t you just love cute freebies and awesome packaging? and Kate?

Colour Clash

I have always admired women who successfully combine contrasting fabrics and prints. At the same time I inwardly cringe at their boldness – gasping as spots as stripes collide and suede and silk over-lap. And as for florals and animal prints * silent scream * But when it works, it is outstanding. ‘Atlantic Pacific’ does it beautifully in her ‘Stripes & Florals’ post. It inspired me to give it a go. And you know what? I kinda like it!

Crazy-print silk blouse – Jaspal. Black and white cropped jacket – Thai designer, similar with long sleeves Forever21. Black pencil skirt – Zara. Peep Toes – Nine West. Green leather satchel – Jaspal. Earrings – Thai designer, almost exact from Nordstrom
