Stripes in Paradise

I was re-living my vacation pics (to prolong the happiness) when I realised I have a ‘stripe’ theme going on and thought this was worth a post because stripes are awesome.

This is one of my fave holiday dresses because it is cute and comfy. G2000 – similar here. Bag – TopShop – similar here. Diamante flats – Aldo.

Vest – H&M – old, similar here. Denim Shots – Zara. Cowboy Hat – Rip Curl.

Holiday Shorts

Simple and cute – holiday shorts with stripes, oh, and a cowboy hat which is the best sun protection because it looks good and protects your face and neck. But they squash in luggage – I haven’t solved that one yet.

Pink shorts – Mango (similar). Striped T – Esprit. Denim shorts – Mango. Striped T – Trenery. Flats – Aldo. Cowboy hat – Roxy (similar), Earrings – fluffy green Christmas glitter slugs – from my mum. Gin and tonic – models own 😉

Beach Basics

I just spent a long weekend on Koh Samed, a glorious island just three hours drive (and 20 minute speedboat ride) from Bangkok. My beach style is cute and comfy (no digging-in bikini straps allowed!)  Here are a few snaps and my holiday must-haves:

1) Face Base SPF 50++

2) A Cap! (mine is super-touristy!)

3) Toner mist spritz – to keep skin hydrated

4) Inexpensive BB cream for touch-ups in case of pink drinks at sunset

5) Denim shorts – Zara  (I kept mine on while para-sailing – no need for any harness-induced bulges!)

6) Awesome bikini – my Guy Laroche has great padding – but absorbs about 4 litres of sea water!

7) An over-the-top colourful beach bag! I got mine as a media gift, but found cute ones here

8) Bright summer nail varnish! Red, orange, pink, yellow!!

I never leave home without my Lancome Genifique and Kiels Abyssine SPF23 for over-cast days and to give my skin a break from heavy sunscreen.

Double Denim

Told you I would be experimenting the death out of this top! Here it is, dressed down with shorts and loafers.

Ordinarily I would NEVER ‘double-denim’, reminds of the disaster that was Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake so many years ago when they did the matching denim patch-work outfits. But this works. Don’t you think?

Denim shirt – Gap. Shorts – Zara. Grey Loafers – local brand (similar)

My hair is styled because I spent an entire afternoon looking to replace my beloved GHD which broke after 8 years and are not stocked in Thailand (small tear) I will blog the replacement soon xxx

Denim Shorts & Vogue!

This is one of my favourite weekend looks (even though it’s Wednesday), because it’s comfy and this style of shoe allows for mileage when trotting around the huge malls of Bangkok (and have super-cute studs)

Have you seen the latest Vogue? It’s certainly hard to miss and weighs about 1 ton. It’s so delicious I took it for lunch!

Denim shorts – Mango. Striped T- Zara. Green Bag – Jaspal. Soft studded moccasin – Zara. Mag – Vogue x

City Wanderings

Nothing beats a denim shorts and checkered shirt combo. This is one of my favourite shopping outfits as it is comfy, easy to get out of in change rooms, and warm enough for blasting mall aircons.

Checkered long sleeve shirt – Marks & Spencers $60 old, similar Forever21 $17.80. Denim shorts – Zara $63
