Straight Cut Red Dress

A red dress never goes out of fashion. They make me think of Valentino and act like Jackie O on a breezy terrace. Especially when you add a string of pearls or two. A simple A-line frock is perfect for weekends or a casual day at the office, and I love the pleated neckline on this one.

Dress – Mango (colours: black, electric blue, pink). Diamante flats – Aldo, similar. Bracelet – jade from Burma (bought in Northern Thailand, Chiang Mai) Pearls – Accessorize (one day I will have the real thing!!)

Soft Frock

My husband calls this ‘the hairy dress’ which makes me laugh. It is almost 3D because the material is made up of little mottled ‘tuft’s that stick out from the base fabric. I have even experienced the odd occasion of someone wanting to ‘pet’ my dress because it feels really soft to the touch. I love how it fits because it hugs your curves without clinging to any undesirable lumps and bumps.

Dress – Zara Collection old, similar Maison Martin Margiela $59. Two-tone heels – Zara similar $40. Clutch – Ava Clutch Accessorize $40. Make-up Bobby Brown.

Jessica Rabbit Grey Dress

This is frock perfection in my eyes! Never has one dress ticked so many boxes. Allow me to list my criteria:

1) Length – on-the-knee classy 2) Sleeves – cute and capped 3) Colour and cut – amaze 4) High waist band to elongate the silhouette.

And can you cope, this dress was on sale at 20% off (Siam & Central World major annual sale) I would have paid double the original price. Sometimes it works out to be a tall expat in Asia because no one else buys the ‘Large’ dresses. Oh, and don’t forget, this is one for the full body Spanx.

Grey dress – Alldress, similar Moschini $519, Marley’s $401 from, Peep Toes – Nine West Flute $99

I bought this cute grey dress about a year ago and really love it. It has a high waist, pleats and pockets which give it great shape. The straps are quite narrow, so I wore a burgundy bra because I hate seeing people’s boring skin-toned bra’s poking out of pretty dresses!

I wore it today because it’s Friday and I plan on going out after work for a cocktail with my husband and being glam yet comfy. I paired it with some patent neutral pumps (very Kate Middleton!) a pink pashmina, Kate Spade handbag and pink bracelet.

Grey Dress – old. Found a similar one Calvin Klein $79.99

Patent nude pumps – Nine West $59.99

Pink handbag – Kate Spade $640

Pink Bracelet – Kate Spade $32
