Tokyo Time

Tokyo Time! Am so excited to be here and scout out fashion spots like Harajuku (Tokyo’s shopping mecca frequented by fashion conscious Tokyo under 30’s), Shibuya (shopping at its most extreme! bring a water bottle) and Daikanyama. The BEST fashion discovery is the ‘Tokyo Super Guide’ (SuperFuture series) Had to share my packing preparation as well!!!!

Straight Cut Red Dress

A red dress never goes out of fashion. They make me think of Valentino and act like Jackie O on a breezy terrace. Especially when you add a string of pearls or two. A simple A-line frock is perfect for weekends or a casual day at the office, and I love the pleated neckline on this one.

Dress – Mango (colours: black, electric blue, pink). Diamante flats – Aldo, similar. Bracelet – jade from Burma (bought in Northern Thailand, Chiang Mai) Pearls – Accessorize (one day I will have the real thing!!)

Karen Millen Shocking Pink

When I first saw this frock from across the department store floor, my heart skipped a beat. Sparks flew. It was love at first sight. I tried it on and it felt like I was the only person ever meant to wear it. That is what a dream dress does to you. It is life altering. Sigh.

Pink Dress – Karen Millen (old collection). Heels – Aldo.

City Sleek

As you may have noticed, I am loving three-quarter length trousers. First it was my jeans, and now, these delicious white cropped ones with a low-rise, non-dig-in waist band. White always feels really chic – just remember the tan Spanx. Also love the capped sleeves on this bright top.

White cropped trousers – Gap (new collection). Tangerine top – Zara. Pink jacket – Mango. Nude peep toes – Aldo. Bracelets – Kate Spade and local market stacks. Nails – Revlon

Rain Drops Keep Falling

It rained nearly all day yesterday in Bangkok. It is the rainy season after all. At least it never gets cold. I suddenly had an urge to wear another clashing outfit and even added a prop (umbrella) that clashed too! Spots, stripes and checks!

Gold stacked bracelets – Thai markets, similar Shopstyle. Logo ring right hand – Marc Jacobs. Nails – Revlon new collection.

In my search for a similar polka dot umbrella, I came across this adorable  DIY’ blog called ‘the Polka-Dot Umbrella

Leopard Print & Black

As promised, here is my second amazing little clutch that I purchased from the kind man at the market stall (kind for offering me a 15% discount!) In my opinion (which counts, as this is my blog) a strong leopard print piece such as this, is best paired with black. My trusted uber-mini skirt works well with the huge men’s black shirt as it is almost the same length and feels cheeky yet discreet.

Black collared shirt – old, similar Forever21 $18.50, similar J.Jill $49.99. Black Mini Skirt – Zara $85. Leopard Clutch – Local Thai designer (sorry again) similar Hobo Eden Button $86.99 similar Kate Spade $241.40. Pink heels – Aldo $80 (platform version). Swarovski pink crystal ring – similar from Nirvana range $155. Bracelet – Kate Spade $32 (purple) Hoop earrings – Accessorize
