A Red Belt

A skinny red belt is one of those wardrobe staples every girl should own. Like a microwave, you don’t realise how you ever managed to live without it until you got one.

City Shorts

The more you wear shorts with heels, the more you can extend your wardrobe options. I maintain they should not be too short, or it looks skanky (like the woman I saw today with half her bum cheek falling out! Revolt!) I am slightly addicted to belts, all colours and most widths, especially thin and patent in bold tones. They can lift a plain look instantly.

Black city shorts – Zara, old, similar. Turquoise linen T – Zara. Cropped jacket – Alldress, similar Forever21. Belt – local sale, similar JCrew. Black peep toes – Nine West. Bracelets – Kate Spade (pink) and local market (white) Nails – Revlon new collection

Fashion Quote for Today: “Don’t be into trends. Don’t make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way you live.”

— Gianni Versace

Colour Clash

I have always admired women who successfully combine contrasting fabrics and prints. At the same time I inwardly cringe at their boldness – gasping as spots as stripes collide and suede and silk over-lap. And as for florals and animal prints * silent scream * But when it works, it is outstanding. ‘Atlantic Pacific’ does it beautifully in her ‘Stripes & Florals’ post. It inspired me to give it a go. And you know what? I kinda like it!

Leopard Print & Black

As promised, here is my second amazing little clutch that I purchased from the kind man at the market stall (kind for offering me a 15% discount!) In my opinion (which counts, as this is my blog) a strong leopard print piece such as this, is best paired with black. My trusted uber-mini skirt works well with the huge men’s black shirt as it is almost the same length and feels cheeky yet discreet.

Red Dress

While I was trying to think of a more catchy title to this blog, I realized nothing is better than these two words: Red Dress. Each of us will immediately conjure up some fantastic sexy red frock. From a lipstick red knee length cocktail knock-out to a deep burgundy ball gown that makes you look like you are floating, we all have red dress fantasies.
