Trouser Rules

It has been too long since my last clothing post. The honest reason?  We have replaced our old PC with an iMac – and it takes me days longer to complete a simple task. I literally couldn’t figure out how to open a new email, let alone download, edit and upload photo’s! (I discovered the USB port IN the keyboard on day three!) But I am back, officially.

I love unique tops with detail. This one is a firm favourite of mine.

Trousers – tailored (Cotton House) Top – Jaspal. Heels – Aldo. Bag – Charles & Keith

I have a trouser rule: Trousers must be long enough to to cover half-way down your stiletto heel. Under no circumstances should they be allowed to flap around your ankles. If you are seated and cross your legs, your ankle can be revealed, but not the bottom half of your shin! That is why I got mine tailored, nowhere makes a 36cm length!

Floral Pashmina

Every Monday should be accompanied by a flamboyant floral scarf. This has been clinically proven to brighten the spirits and positively influence people’s perceptions of you. Well, I can’t prove it but it feels right doesn’t it?

Floral Pash – similar. Pink Dress – similar. Heels – Charles and Keith new collection. Weird anchor bracelet – local market

Monday Accessories

Happy Monday all! Hmmm maybe not that happy, especially as I barely had any time to shop this weekend because I was too busy lying on my couch watching ‘Breaking Bad

I did some home surfing though, and found a rather fabulous site called Frames by Warby Parker which has the most gorg glasses. I especially love the Ainsworth Walnut Tortoise ones which would work wonderfully with this outfit. Also love the bright Marshall Rum Cherry ones……want a different pair for every day of the week!

Jeans – Zara similar. Black Linen top – Zara. heart bracelet – Marc Jacobs. Other Bracelets – Kate Spade & local markets. Polka scarf – Mango. Heels – Nine West. Specs – Warby Parker. Belt – local market. Earrings – local market.

Black Ruffle-Neck Frock

Happy Friday All! I know black isn’t really a Friday colour, but I do so love this ruffle neckline – does that excuse me and my slightly heavy eye-liner? I promise some floral flamboyant number next week to make up for it.

Black Ruffle Neck Dress – Expressions (similar). Grey Jacket – Zara. Heels – Nine West. Zebra bracelet – Kate Spade. Ring – market – not totally similar but equally awesome. Hoop earrings – Accessorize

White Delight

My husband and I are on holiday in Chiang Rai (Northern Thailand) which is beautiful and lush with an incredible mountainous back-drop. We are staying at the lovely riverside LeMeridian Hotel & Spa, the perfect backdrop for a white dress.
(I have had some wifi issues so this is being uploaded from my IPhone)

White dress – AllDress $120, similar. Platforms – Zara. Bracelet – Aldo. Earrings – Accessorize.

No Time to Waist

A classic black waist coat is my idea of a wardrobe staple. I adore mine and wear it over skirts, jeans and trousers to add a smart edge. This cute lace skirt is a nice contradiction to the masculine waist coat.

White & cream lace mini – Promod $18.50 (50% sale). Black waist coat – old, similar. Heels – old Enzo Angiolini. Watch – Gucci. Sunglasses – Rayban
