River Walks in White & Bright

Finally Spring has sprung. Which means busting out white and neon by the river!

White cropped denim – Zara. Neon vest – H&M. Cardi – old. Trainers – New Balance

Brace Yourself

Finally! Braces! I have been looking for a pair since Summer

A rather fabulous friend spotted them in H&M¬†(which I hadn’t considered checking!)

Simple black stretch with bronze clip detail. They come with silver too but doesn’t look as sharp

I got into a bit of a twist fastening the back clip, they have to be perfectly aligned otherwise it throws off the symmetry

Surprisingly comfy and takes an otherwise simple look up a notch

(Jeans – Zara Boyfriend)

Friday Flares

I woke up thinking about ‘That 70’s Show’ with Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. I used to love seeing their awesome retro outfits.

Polka neck tie – no idea. Bag – Kate Spade. Flats – Aldo. Vest – H&M

Hight waist flares – 7forallmankind. Gold bracelet – animalgoround (Bangkok)

Happy Friday All

Nearly-Friday-Flares

I have had these Mankind Flares for nearly 7 years. Even though my body shape has changed and these trusty strides are more faded and tattered, I love them even more. Like a good friend that never lets you down.

And here I am, working on my smile ūüôā

Black Vest – H&M. Jacket – Zara. Jeans – 7ForAllMankind. Polka dot flats – Trenery. If you are tall, you can pull off this slightly looser high-waist fit, but if you are a shorty-pants, I recommend a tighter waist and thigh area to make sure you don’t look like you are walking in a denim sack.

Leather Trim

A gorgeous pencil skirt is always a work wardrobe staple. This black and white beauty with leather trim, takes the classic work pencil to an entirely new level of fab. I just love the leather detail across the waist band and down the middle at the front. And the fact the back is slightly longer than the front so the side-view rocks.

I find it rather amazing and cringe at the same time, that my skirt literally matches the black and white¬†paneling¬†of my handbag. To an outsider they must think ‘good grief, this woman is serious about fashion’ but between you and I, we know this was a total (albeit¬†happy) coincidence.

The only word of caution I have is that you need to constantly look down to ensure the leather stripe is exactly in the centre. Every time I stood up it has shifted slightly. So it is a rather high maintenance skirt, but well worth it if you ask me. And by the end of the day I was simply ‘feeling’ for the stripe and adjusting mid-step. Coz that’s how we fashionistas roll.

Skirt – Zara. Heels – Nine West Caress. Jacket – Mango. Black vest – H&M. Bag – Charles & Keith.

The black side panels are especially flattering as have a slimming effect on the eye.

Happy Sunday xxx

Stripes in Paradise

I was re-living my vacation pics (to prolong the happiness) when I realised I have a ‘stripe’ theme going on and thought this was worth a post because stripes are awesome.

This is one of my fave holiday dresses because it is cute and comfy. G2000¬†–¬†similar here. Bag – TopShop – similar here. Diamante flats – Aldo.

Vest – H&M – old, similar here. Denim Shots – Zara. Cowboy Hat – Rip Curl.

Secret Santa

It is our annual Christmas party today! Theme is ‘Rock n Roll’

Skirt – Promod. Waist Coat – custom. Black Vest – H&M. Boots – Mango Touch. Jade bracelet – Thailand. Pink Moet.

Black & Denim Basics

There is nothing quite like a classic black tank, pair of jeans and hoop earrings. These pics were taken on¬†separate¬†days (you can tell from my different colour nail varnish!!) one with a very old pair of Mankind¬†stone-wash jeans¬†(8 years’ old!!) and one with dark flared.

Stonewash Р Mankind (old! similar). Dark flared denim РZara . Black tank РH&M. Hoops Рold (similar) Animal print clutch Рsimilar. Black bag with gold studs РJaspal (old collection)

I actually bought this H&M Tank in two different sizes because certain outfits look better with a very tight look (a high-waist skirt) and a looser fit for tucking into denim hot pants / jeans (to avoid a muffin top!)

Bright Stripe

H&M opened a two-story flagship store in Bangkok, Thailand earlier this year. I have not been able to check it out because of the hundreds of committed shopaholics willing to stand in hour-long queues, until now! I bought a few pretty ‘staple’ tops and this stripey number which looks cute with jeans, skirts, over a bikini or even layered with a tank top and jacket + heels. Versatility is the new black!

Striped Top – H&M. Black tasselled mini – Zara (old). Suede boots – Mango Touch (similar). Hoops – Accessorize

I am laughing in the last pic as my husband told me my skirt is so short it should be for ‘standing only’¬†outings¬†haha

Black Monday

I felt like a bit of power-dressing today, and I love the texture of this light woolen mini skirt.

Curly Fabric Skirt – Mango. Vest – H&M. Heels – Nine West (old). Ridiculously big hoop earrings – Dorothy Perkins. Crystal ball necklace – Topshop. Lilac nails – Revlon.
