Monday Accessories

Happy Monday all! Hmmm maybe not that happy, especially as I barely had any time to shop this weekend because I was too busy lying on my couch watching ‘Breaking Bad

I did some home surfing though, and found a rather fabulous site called Frames by Warby Parker which has the most gorg glasses. I especially love the Ainsworth Walnut Tortoise ones which would work wonderfully with this outfit. Also love the bright Marshall Rum Cherry ones……want a different pair for every day of the week!

Jeans – Zara similar. Black Linen top – Zara. heart bracelet – Marc Jacobs. Other Bracelets – Kate Spade & local markets. Polka scarf – Mango. Heels – Nine West. Specs – Warby Parker. Belt – local market. Earrings – local market.

BB Cream & Marc Jacobs Macaroons

I spend almost 5 hours in the make-up section over the weekend. I am a fan of the natural look, so I ended up at the Bobbi Brown counter and walked out with a small bag packed with new products and a steaming credit card.

Highlights:  Bobbi Browns BB cream with SPF35++ & SPF50 Face Base. Hydrating Face tonic. Thick eye cream (night application only) The shimmer brick – there are no words for how this single product transformed my life and two bottles of bright orange nail varnish from Revlon.

Had to add in my delightful free gift from Marc Jacobs on Mothers’ Day (in Thailand it falls on the Queens’ Birthday) Three beautiful macaroons!

Rain Drops Keep Falling

It rained nearly all day yesterday in Bangkok. It is the rainy season after all. At least it never gets cold. I suddenly had an urge to wear another clashing outfit and even added a prop (umbrella) that clashed too! Spots, stripes and checks!

Striped dress worn as top – AllDress, similar Bebe. Pink skirt – Zara. Checkered shirt – M&S, similar American Apparel. Polka dot umbrella – similar. Feather bracelet – Accessorize. Gold stacked bracelets – Thai markets, similar Shopstyle. Logo ring right hand – Marc Jacobs. Nails – Revlon new collection.

In my search for a similar polka dot umbrella, I came across this adorable  DIY’ blog called ‘the Polka-Dot Umbrella

Heart Beats

My friend from South Africa asked me to get her the same Marc Jacobs IPad case as previously posted here. While I was celebrating the power of my blog for leading to a direct sale (well, asking my husband to get one and posting it is as direct as it gets when dealing with South Africa) Anyway, turns out the pink IPad cover was a favourite, and after searching three separate outlets, fashion osmosis kicked-in and my husband bought me a Marc Jacobs bangle. which I adore.

Heartbeats Bangle – Marc Jacobs $68. Silver and white tulip skirt – Zara $50, Grey wool top – old, similar $214. Tangerine peep toes – Zara Old, similar

Currently Craving

The latest chatter across the fashion blogisphere is all about the Marc Jacobs and Yayoi Kusame ‘Dots Infinity’ ready to wear collection for Louis Vuitton. I have always loved polka dots, so this collection is simply wonderful.

The opening in New York was at The Whitney Museum – great pics and celeb details on Fashion Salade  I especially love how Fifth Avenue was transformed into a dotty mayhem – dailymail has the best pics, even showing Yayoi standing in the window display! Awesome pop-up (or dot up?!) stores on Vogue France and more juicy detail on

I adore these funky LV bracelets and will be waiting impatiently until they hit Bangkok. Keeping within the dotty theme I found this gorgeously classy crockery set from Kate Spade Home $139. And last but not least, a lovely pale yellow tote from Aldo ($19.99 sale) to contrast the polka craze.

Who Needs Ruby Red Slippers to take them home!?

I admit to being mildly, OK, massively, obsessed and in love with the colour pink. I simply think it is THE most gorgeous shade in the entire universe. We should all wear rose-tinted sunglasses…..anyway. I discovered two heavenly bright shocking deliciously pink items over the past month and had to share them with you.

Luminous Pink Heels – Aldo $80. Padded pink IPad case – Marc Jacobs $58. Sepia and white T – ESPRIT $9 (on sale)

Black Trousers – tailored in Thailand because I am too tall for average pantaloons! The Cotton House, Bangkok, Thailand.
