Dotty in Shanghai

This dress is a classic – I keep it fresh by mixing different colour belts and shoes. Almost feels like a new dress each Summer. Belted dress similar Bag – Kate Spade (old)

Peep toes – Zara (old) Belt – no idea, similar here

Dotty in Shanghai

We all know my mad fetish for polka dots. I cannot contain myself when there are dots around.

I added a pop of pale yellow with my shoes and pashmina

Although this belt came with the dress, I often mix it up by using a bright pink or red belt. Primary colours rock with black and white dots

It is officially Fall in Shanghai. Cool, crisp days with bright blue skies. Cool enough for a light cardi but warm enough for open shoes (always be prepared for a mani-pedi)

This time of the year opens up so much scope for different styles without too much layering.

First Impressions

I had rather an important meeting today where there was a particular reason to make a good impression.

As I lay out several dresses on my bed this morning, from bright pink to polka dots and everything in-between, this simple classic stood out.

Often the best decisions are the most simple and clean-cut. No frills or fuss. No belts or layers. No need for Spanx. Just a simple, well-cut grey dress, comfy pumps and a pretty pashmina

Simple jewellery, nothing distracting. My simple diamond necklace, tennis bracelet, wedding ring and studs in my ears. I am on an island holiday from tomorrow, I promise to post, but my outfits will certainly be more casual

Denim & Lace

I love mixing textures, like unexpected flavours. Today we have lace and denim. Hooray.

It’s a little less obvious, don’t you think? And yes, I haven’t managed to put my new Kate Spade bag down!
